February 06 Tracker January 19 Tracking my weightSo Jen and I decided to follow everyone else's lead and use tickerfactory.com to track our weight loss progress below. My weight loss is directly below. Jen will add hers when she gets a chance!
Jen hearts Exercise It's Jen. So I've decided that I love exercising. I don't so much like the moment it's time for me to go to the gym or do my workout, but I LOVE the moment when I walk out of the gym and I have that feeling of accomplishment. I just feel overall healthier and always proud. That's why I love working out. So Danielle and I had our first weigh-in last Monday and I just want you to know that we both lost weight and we're doing FANTASTIC. We continue to email our food journals every day and send encouragement. I can't tell you how much just having her in this with me has helped. Monday will be our second weigh in so I'm excited to see how much more we've progressed. Wish us luck! Off to exercise :) January 12 I tried!Well, I tried to add our Virtual Models but no such luck. Maybe if I try my work computer that has Photoshop on it, I can make an actual picture and then it will work!
Jen is on vacation so I'll be updating our blog for the next couple of days.
Today I went to the NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo in DC. There were a lot of great exhibits and information. Bill and Jim from The Biggest Loser were there too! I actually didn't get to see them speak since I was too busy walking a mile on the walking track with my friend! I'm sure they had a lot of great information (if anyone else went and heard them speak, please leave us a comment and let us know what they had to say!). I figured that it would be better to be active while I could though! I did get my BMI and body fat analysis done though. I knew that my BMI was over but my body fat was 29.8%. They said that's in the normal range, but I still think it could be better. I just need to do more strength training!
In other news, I think I'm going to introduce a rewards system for myself. I only have 15 pounds to lose so I think I'm going to do something like "lose 5 pounds, buy myself something nice." I'll have to talk to Jen about it when she gets back. If we decide to go through with it, we'll post what we plan on rewarding ourselves with for each of our goals!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
January 09 Danielle's motivationShe may look adorable and like she wants to lay around but that's not true at all! Cassie is one way that Danielle gets a lot of exercise. She gets 2 walks a day (in the winter they're only about 10 minutes each since it's cold outside). But even after that, she still wants to play for at least 30 minutes a day. Whoever said that children would be the only reason why you would have to be active must never have had a dog!
If she's not happy, she "speaks" to me too. A baying beagle can get quite irritating after awhile! So if looking good and getting healthy isn't enough motivation, I suggest either volunteering at an animal shelter, walking someone else's dog, or getting one of your own. Then there's absolutely no excuse to not exercise that day!
Hope everyone is doing well in their weight loss journey. Jen and I are kickin' butt with our food diaries and exercise. We can't wait to see the result on the scale.
Tomorrow....look for what Jen and Danielle look like now (and what they'll look like once they get to goal!). January 08 Food JournalsJust checking in: Danielle and I email each other every day with what we've eaten and what we did for exercise.
